The FortiGate 30G is the entry desktop model in Fortinet's current G-series next-generation firewall range. Per Fortinet's datasheet it delivers 4 Gbps firewall throughput (1518-byte UDP), 800 Mbps IPS throughput, and 500 Mbps threat protection throughput (measured with firewall, IPS, application control, and malware protection enabled), and supports up to 600,000 concurrent TCP sessions.

The unit provides 4x GE RJ45 ports (1x WAN and 3x internal, one of which is a default FortiLink port), an RJ45 console port, and a Trusted Platform Module. It runs FortiOS and can manage up to 8 FortiSwitches and 16 FortiAPs from the same appliance. Series variants include the FortiWiFi 30G with built-in 802.11ax wireless and the FortiGate 31G with 30 GB onboard storage.
