The DS925+ is the performance 4-bay in Synology's current Plus series, powered by a quad-core, 8-thread AMD Ryzen V1500B at 2.2 GHz with 4 GB of ECC DDR4 memory expandable to 32 GB. Dual built-in 2.5GbE ports support up to 522/565 MB/s sequential read/write.
Four hot-swappable SATA bays are joined by two M.2 2280 NVMe slots usable for caching or storage pools, and a DX525 expansion unit takes the system to 9 drive bays. ECC memory, Btrfs, and RAID 0/1/5/6/10 with Synology Hybrid RAID make it a fit for SME file serving, sync, and backup consolidation.
